Tablesaw fence add-ons and upgrades

I created a DIY tablesaw fence system, inspired by the BOW Xtender Fence System, to address the three main flaws of the Bow Products fence: weight, price, and a problem common with job-site saws, where there's no way to support wood when the fence is extended without removing the entire system— which kind of defeats the purpose. My system, designed to upgrade your tablesaw fence, includes several additional features over the Bow Xtender. The video showcasing it became quite popular, and many people have downloaded my 3D print files to make their own versions. You can watch the video here: The best table saw upgrade! 5 upgrades for your tablesaw fence.

Based on the interest in that video, I realised I could solve the job-site saw problem for existing owners of the Bow Xtender Fence and provide access to additional add-ons for DIY systems, including homemade wooden tablesaw fences. So, I created this set of products.

Push stick mounts

The Push Stick mount slides into the rear of the Bow Xtender Fence, and the Bow PushPRO Push Stick, along with the mini push stick, snaps into the mount. The mount can slide forward when not in use, and when you're ready to grab it, you simply pull it back into the ready position. There’s also a mount included for 18mm (3/4”) plywood push sticks that you’ve made yourself. You can get the 3D print files here.: Bow PushPRO Push Stick Mounts.

These Bow PushPRO Push Stick Mounts are an upgrade for the Bow Xtender Fence system adding mounts for the Bow PushPRO Push Sticks or DIY push sticks.

Upgraded Bow Products XT Feed Supports

The Bow Products XT Feed Supports are great, as is the fence system. However, on job-site saws, there’s an issue: you have no way to support wood when the fence is extended. You have to remove the fence system to use the tablesaw’s built-in support. The same applies to low fence solutions on tablesaws—you need to remove the Bow Xtender fence to use them. The upgraded Bow Products XT Feed Supports I’ve created, feature two inset slots, allowing you to add a strip of 19mm-wide aluminium T-track to provide support when the fence is fully extended on a job-site saw. Additionally, with the low fence/thin rip bracket, you can create your own ‘low fence’ that uses these same slots.

Featherboard holders

Quite often you need to remove the Bow FencePro Featherboards from the front of your tablesaw fence, well rather than just lay them on the bench or somewhere else in the way these mounts give them a home when not in use. You can view more details here: Bow FencePro Featherboard holders.

Gridfinity trays

There are a few items that are handy to always have at the tablesaw, a pencil, tape measure, digital angle finder, dust extraction fob (if you have one), a small ruler to name a few.

This Gridfinity tray system gives you somewhere to stow these items neatly. Gridfinity is a very popular way of organise your items in trays of various sizes with easy to make custom trays. My shelves are based on the Gridfinity standard and include magnet slots, should you want to use them. You can then easily create your own Gridfinity trays to use on the trays. There is an online tool with no 3D modelling software to install. Here is the link: https://gridfinitygenerator.com. You can also download existing gridfinity trays from Printables. There are 1000’s of gridfinity models online.

There are two sets of gridfinity shelves, a 1X and 2X for mounting to the rear of the Bow Xtender Fence. each set has five size trays and a left and right variable mount.

The largest tray, 2x5, fits on common printer bed sizes, like the Prusa MK4s and the Bambu labs A1, P1S, and X1C. No supports required to print.

Angled trays

Based on the Gridfinity system there are a set of angled trays.

These include, 2x3 and a 2x4, each with and without a version that has finger cut out for easy lifting a flat tray. The flat tray can be used to stick a notepad to (using double side tape). then you can easily pick the pencil and pad all in one movement. The 2x4 trays also include a version with a pencil slot.

One great use, besides the notepad tray, is the phone holder tray that gives you somewhere to safely put your phone while in the workshop. you can even use it to refer to cut lists on your phone.
